What's your philosophy?
The software industry suffers from an abundance of poor progammers and poor programs. Languages such as VB and PHP have such a low barrier to entry that they attract a lot of people who shouldn't be programmers. I believe the only way to engineer high quality software is to have a strong academic understanding of computer science principles, and apply that theory in a practical way. The practical application of this theory is what I would call the art of software engineering.
That said, for personal projects there's nothing wrong with just hacking away.
So what's Trapdoor.org for?
The site exists as a host for open-source projects, and a place for me to publish any developer's notes I wish to share. It's for anyone interested in any of the above.
